Privacy Notice for California Residents
This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in the Privacy Policy of Claude Préval LLC (“Claude Préval,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”) and any related regulations.
1. Your Rights and Choices
As a California resident, you are entitled to specific rights regarding your Personal Information. This section explains those rights and how to exercise them under the CPRA.
Right to Know / Access
You have the right to request that we disclose details about our collection and use of your Personal Information over the past twelve (12) months. Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will provide:
- The categories of Personal Information collected about you.
- The categories of sources from which it was collected.
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting or sharing it.
- The categories of third parties with whom we shared it.
- The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you.
Right to Delete
You have the right to request the deletion of Personal Information we collected about you, subject to certain legal exceptions (such as compliance with legal obligations, fraud prevention, or transaction completion). When applicable, we will delete your Personal Information and instruct our service providers to do the same.

Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all applicable ethics and privacy laws, if the deletion of the information would render such research impossible or seriously impair its achievement, and you previously provided informed consent.
Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us and compatible with the context in which you provided the information.
Comply with a legal obligation.
Right to Correct
You may request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information maintained about you, taking into account the purposes for which it is processed.
Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Information
As a California resident, you have the right to direct us to limit our use and disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information to only what is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer who requests such goods or services.
In accordance with the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we may continue to use or disclose your Sensitive Personal Information only for the following limited purposes:
Service delivery: To perform the services or provide the products that an average consumer would reasonably expect when making a purchase or interacting with our brand.
Security and integrity: To help maintain the security and integrity of our systems, data, and users, to the extent such use is reasonably necessary and proportionate.
Short-term operational use: For brief, transient activities such as non-personalized advertising displayed during your interaction with our website, provided that such information is not shared with third parties or used to create a profile about you.
Operational support: To provide essential services on our behalf or on behalf of our trusted partners, including order processing, account maintenance, customer support, payment handling, analytics, storage, and similar internal operations.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right by emailing onlinecustomercare@claudepreval.com and adding “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the subject line.
Right to Non-Retaliation
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CPRA. This means we will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, or offer a different level or quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
2. How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a verifiable consumer request to us by any of the following means:

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf (including a registered agent), may make such a request. You may also submit a request on behalf of your minor child.
You may exercise your rights to know, access, correct, or delete your Personal Information by submitting a verifiable consumer request.
To protect your privacy and maintain security, we are required to verify your identity (or the authority of your authorized agent) before acting on such requests.
You may submit a verifiable consumer request up to two times within a 12-month period. Each request must:
Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the individual (or authorized representative) whose Personal Information we have collected.
Describe your request in enough detail for us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
If we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request, we will be unable to fulfill it.
You are not required to create an account to submit a request, and any information you provide in connection with your request will be used solely to verify your identity or authorization.
3. Response Timing and Format
We will acknowledge your request within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) days. If more time is required (up to 90 days), we will inform you in writing. Responses will be delivered electronically or by mail, covering the preceding twelve (12) months. We do not charge a fee unless requests are excessive or repetitive.
4. Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the past twelve (12) months, we may have collected the following categories of Personal Information:
- Identifiers (e.g., name, address, email, IP address). Personal Information described in the California Customer Records statute (Cal.Civ.Code §1798.80(e)). All of the Identifiers listed above, plus: card number, debit card number, or any other financial information
- Commercial information (e.g., purchase history)
- Internet or network activity (e.g., browsing behavior, device data)
- Geolocation data
- Inferences drawn from your activity to create consumer profiles
We collect this information directly from you or automatically through your interactions with our website.
5. Use of Personal Information
We may use your Personal Information for purposes including:
- Fulfilling orders and delivering products
- Providing customer support
- Communicating offers and updates
- Preventing fraud and ensuring security
- Complying with legal obligations
- Improving our website and services
We will not collect new categories of Personal Information, nor will we use the information we have collected for purposes that are materially different, unrelated, or incompatible with those originally disclosed, unless we first provide you with appropriate notice.

In the past twelve (12) months, Claude Préval LLC has not sold Personal Information for monetary consideration.
We may share your Personal Information with affiliates, service providers, and marketing partners for legitimate business purposes. We ensure that such third parties maintain confidentiality and use the information solely for the contracted purpose. We do not sell Personal Information for monetary compensation, but we may share limited data for marketing or analytics purposes in compliance with CPRA definitions.
7. Additional Information for California Residents
Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83–1798.84, residents of California have the right to request a notice describing the categories of Personal Information that we share with third parties or affiliates for their own direct marketing purposes.
This notice will include: the types of Personal Information disclosed, and the names and addresses of those third parties or affiliates.

8. Grievances and Complaints

9. Notice Regarding Proposition 65
